Istanbul will be happy to receive so much of your attention and interest and she salutes you, opening both of its shores for you to enjoy, welcoming you to both continents, Europe on the left and Asia on the right. Now you are in Euraisa, where Europe and Asia meets. In this instance, there is no other tourist luckier than you. But then you see another treasure, the pearl of the Bosphorus, the Bosphorus Bridge with its magnificent view, standing tall, in full view, at exactly where you stand at Sarayburnu. On your back stands Topkapi Palace that housed many of the Ottoman emperors that ruled this important geographical part of the world. This is how you will see Istanbul, the Cultural Capital of Europe in the year 2010, as situated on two continents extending to both, joining both. The sounds of the passenger ferries moving between European and Asian Continents and the sea gulls will be like a melody in your ears, making you feel peaceful and happy.
If you want to see and visit other places at night we suggest that you take a walk on Istiklal Avenue. Mix in with the crowd, enjoy the scenes, tastes and sounds of the night along with old Pera. Or you may extend your walk a little bit further and visit the world’s second oldest underground subway station at Tunnel. Experience some nostalgic moments. Buy a token for a return trip and get on the historical train and live our history like the old and new residents of Istanbul did and still do. You can choose to return from the 601 meter long historical subway (Tunnel) that was made in the year 1875 or continue towards Beyoglu, Karakoy and then to the Galata Bridge, and experience life in Istanbul at night. When you look across from Galata Bridge you will see Galata Tower that was built by Genoese, inviting you to see Istanbul through its eyes from each and every angle. Maybe you would like to dine at historical Cicek Pasaji or Galata Tower the next night.
